Forgetting Someone

Forgetting someone is like forgetting to turn off the light in the backyard so it stays lit all the next day
But then it is the light that makes you remember.

Teegan

My great nephew is 5 years old and he's a handful, but I love him like crazy! Tonight I went to pick him up after he spent a week with a family friend. Since the day he was born, I've always grabbed his chin and told him it was mine. Whenever we see each other we "trade" chins. One of us always says's "Where's my chin?" to the other and then we trade.

Tonight I said, "Teegan, I've missed you so much and where's my chin?"

He said, "I have it right here. I've been holding onto it for you. I'll give it to you." As he grabs his chin and pretends to give it to me. "It was so sad sometimes and it missed you so much that it cried."

"Oh no!" I said.

"Yeah, it really cried, but I said, 'It's okay buddy, it will be okay." "And now, it's happy again and you can have him back."

Is it any wonder why I love this kid?! He's awesome!
