Forgetting Someone

Forgetting someone is like forgetting to turn off the light in the backyard so it stays lit all the next day
But then it is the light that makes you remember.

Body World

Holy Cow! I went with Cara, Colleen and Marilyn to the Body World Exhibit on Tuesday and let me tell you that it was AMAZING!!! I was a bit nervous at first because I wasn't sure what to expect, but man, it was awesome. The most incredible part was the baby section. This might sound bizarre, but they had babies from the womb. They were in a tube in fluid and they were from 5 weeks after conception up to 9 weeks. The 9 week baby (I refuse to use the term fetus) was SO amazing, You could see the fingers, toes, eyes, mouth, every single little detail. I could not believe it. Wow!!! If you get a chance, please go see it.

New Phone

Well, it's been a while since I've checked in here. It's so sad to think that Summer is over. The high for today is about 65 degrees, tomorrow it's supposed to drop to 55, then Saturday it's supposed to drop again to 40 degrees with Rain and POSSIBLE SNOW showers all day. Needless to say, I am NOT looking forward to that. I am not ready for the cold weather to set in at all. I want it to stay 70/80 degrees for at least another month. Seriously, I hate the snow.
Anyway, I got a new phone. It's the LG Dare. It's pretty cool. I'm starting to get used to it. It's taking some time, but I think that I'll get the hang of it pretty soon.
I know this isn't very long or anything, but I think I'll sign off. I have lots of work to do today. Better get started on it.

Mother Nature Hates Me and I'm Begining To Feel The Same Way About Her

It's my own fault, because I vaugely knew that she (Mother Nature) did not like me, but I didn't realize how much until this week. I foolishly thought that I was under the radar, but I guess not. I was at the top of her hit list this week.

So, I slept with the window open on Saturday and I've been paying for it ever since. I can barely talk this week. It's been SO much fun to have a sore throat and a cough ALL week! Yesterday, my throat was so dry I started to choke and cough and it was like I was trying to swallow my uvula or something. It was horrible. (For those of you who don't know, the Uvula is the little thing that hangs down in the back of your throat). This week I've been told that I sound like an old women, a smoker, and that I sound like I've been smoking dope because my voice sounded so mellow and low. (just in case you don't know, I'm not an old women, nor do I smoke cigarettes or dope) Although, I do have to admit that I like the smell of dope, I've NEVER smoked it. AND if it's dope and Stetson Cologne combined, then I really like it. It brings back fond memories of high school and a certain boy named Tom. But that's another story for another day.

Anyway, I'm very happy today is Friday. I plan on going home, opening a can of Chicken Noodle Soup and taking a swig or two of some Tylonel and then entering into blessed Dreamland. Nice way to spend a hot weekend in June huh. Such is life I guess.

Something must be in the air

So Liisa received flowers from an agent today to thank her for her help on a case. And then I got a call this afternoon from an agent telling me that he was sorry he was so grumpy to me earlier today. He felt bad and wanted to apologize. Crazy, huh! (might not sound that way, but believe me, this is a rare day)

I am stuck at work until 5 o'clock tonight. Ugh. I wanted to go home five hours ago. This has been the longest week. Even though I love having three day weekends, I hate the four day week afterwards. There is always so much to cram in and the week seems longer than a regular five day week.

So, Katie had her baby about 4 weeks early. She had a boy, he's actually very healthy for being so early. He weighed 3 pounds 5 ounces and was 15 inches long. Very tiny, but cute. They named him Alijah Wayne. (not that thrilled with the first name, but whatever)

Let's see what else is going on? Hmmm, nothing much, really. Work is work, pretty much the same thing over and over as usual. Except, I totally miss Woolsey!!!!! Woolsey, come back, please!!!

I'm supposed to drive to California in September, but Gas is already at $4.00 a gallon out here and I read on KSL today that "they" are predicting that by the end of the summer it's going to be up to $7.00 a gallon! I can just imagine how much it's going to cost to get to Cali and back. UGH!

Thrusday, May 29th

Woolsey, I'm TOTALLY missing you!!!!!! But, I'm heading out the door to the dentist and so I will have to expound on that subject later. :-)

What is Fruit Juicy Red?

This was on the can of Hawaiin Punch I had today and it just struck me as a funny way to put things.
Made me laugh, so I thought I'd share.

May 5th

Whoa, five days into the month already. So, I went and saw Ironman yesterday. I think I just renewed my crush on Robert Downey, Jr. Wow, he looked good. It's nice to see him in a movie again. The movie was good, but not fantastic. I liked it, but looking back I have to say that I liked Transformer's and Fantastic Four better. I know they are not the same exactly, but they just seemed funnier and that they didn't take themselves as seriously as Ironman did. Anyway, it's just my opinion. I can't wait to see Hancock later this year. It's with Will Smith and it looks very promising. We'll see.

Anyway, nothing much new is going on here. April, Teegan and I went to the Great Salt Lake on Saturday and looked around the Salt Air gift shop. It brought back a lot of memories. I remember as kids, Heather, Ione, Kathy, Roni, and probably Joy all used to hang out there all of the time. It was so much fun. Of course this was all before the flood of 1983. It's too bad about that because it was a great place to hang out. Now you go out there and it seems so lonely and sad. I told April we'll have to start going out there more often and walking down the beach.

Getting close to the end of April

Wow, where has this month gone already? Here it is the 21st of April already. I swear it just started and now it's almost over. As you get older it seems that time speeds up and passes you by before you even realize it's happening. How do you slow it down? They say that you should take time and enjoy every moment of life, but it seems to be one of those sayings that people just say, but don't really know how to do. We are so busy during the day, you know, you go to work, you're busy, trying to get everything done and you sit there wishing it was Friday even though it's only Monday. It's like you wish your life away, because before you know it, it will be Friday and then Monday again and another week, month, year has gone by and you look back and ask,
"Where has the time gone?"

How do you slow it down? That's my question.

Another Great News Story

5th-Grader Finds Mistake at Smithsonian
April 2nd, 2008 @ 3:54pm
ALLEGAN, Mich. (AP) - Is fifth-grader Kenton Stufflebeam smarter than the Smithsonian? The 11-year-old boy, who lives in Allegan but attends Alamo Elementary School near Kalamazoo, went with his family during winter break to the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History in Washington.
Since it opened in 1981, millions of people have paraded past the museum's Tower of Time, a display involving prehistoric time. Not one visitor had reported anything amiss with the exhibit until Kenton noticed that a notation, in bold lettering, identified the Precambrian as an era.
Kenton knew that was wrong. His fifth-grade teacher, John Chapman, had nearly made the same mistake in a classroom earth-science lesson before catching himself.
"I knew Mr. Chapman wouldn't tell all these students" bad information, the boy told the Kalamazoo Gazette for a story published Wednesday.
So Kevin Stufflebeam took his son to the museum's information desk to report Kenton's concern on a comment form. Last week, the boy received a letter from the museum acknowledging that his observation was "spot on."
"The Precambrian is a dimensionless unit of time, which embraces all the time between the origin of Earth and the beginning of the Cambrian Period of geologic time," the letter says.
The solution to the problem would not involve advanced science but rather simply painting over the word "era," the note says.
"We did forward a copy of the comment and our paleobiology department's response to the head of the exhibits department," said Lorraine Ramsdell, educational technician for the museum.
While no previous visitors to the museum had brought up the error, it has long rankled the paleobiology department's staff, who noticed it even before the Tower of Time was erected 27 years ago, she said.
"The question is, why was it put up with that on it in the first place?" Ramsdell said.
Excited as he was to receive the correspondence from museum officials, he couldn't help but point out that it was addressed to Kenton Slufflebeam. In Allegany.

A Mind Cleansing Experience

So, I added some links to some of my favorite sites below. Check them out sometime.

A News story that I thought was interesting.

Scottish Schoolgirls Playing on Beach Find Woman’s Severed Head
Tuesday, April 01, 2008
Associated Press

EDINBURGH, Scotland — Two schoolgirls playing on a Scottish beach found a woman's severed head, police said Tuesday.
The girls found the head wrapped in a plastic bag on a beach outside Arbroath, about 55 miles (90 kilometers) south of Aberdeen. A hand and other body parts were found later.
"They were upset by the discovery and their parents contacted the police," said Detective Chief Inspector Graham McMillan of Tayside Police. (seriously, they were upset? Gee, I can't imagine being upset if I found a SEVERED HEAD IN A PLASTIC BAG on the Beach.)
Part of the beach remains cordoned off, as 40 officers comb the area for evidence.
Police have not released details of the dead woman's race, identity or age but say the head does not appear to be linked to any pending murder or missing person investigation. (hmmm, guess it's just an extra head then, huh. Someone had it laying around and decided to put it in a plastic bag and chuck it in the ocean, where it washed ashore.)

The end of a long week...

TGIF. Dajon gave me a CD to listen to this afternoon. It's pretty good, it's Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings. Kind of retro Diana Ross, I think. Saw Vantage Point this week too. It's a pretty good movie. It wasn't that difficult to peg one of the bad guys right off. Looking forward to coloring some Easter eggs this weekend at Randi's house. We've got 5 dozen, but we're old pro's at that, she and I have been coloring eggs since High School together. We're having an egg hunt at Church on Sunday. Which reminds me that I need to buy Cranberries. I've never bought a cranberry in my life. Not even sure where to get them, but was asked to bring some on Sunday. ??? Oh well.

So if you haven't been to Robintino's in a while, it's worth checking out. They have great Spaghetti! And there prices are really really great. I went there last night for the first time in probably 23 years, seriously. It's my new favorite place.

Also, want to say pray for Mikell W's family. If you remember her. She was in a serious car accident and was in a coma for a few days. I think her family were taking her off of life support yesterday. I'm sure it's not an easy thing for them to go through and it makes me really sad that Mikell's life turned out the way it did. Her three children are in good hands though, so that is good.

Oh, and the little bicycle has moved over here now. Killbill was very jealous that it wasn't him sitting next to me, but that's just how life is sometimes.

Well, I just want to send out good wishes to both Shamo and Woolsey who are packing up and moving in/out this week. Oh and congrats to Woolsey on her new job!

So, our office gets to leave at 3 p.m. today. Yeah, so Happy Easter.

Plant ya now, dig ya later...

Just a quick little post

So one of the girls in the office today just received an application for life insurance from an excecutive at a well known ciggarette company. On the app he noted that he used to smoke, but quit twelve years ago to "improve his health and well-being."

Happy Green Day

May you always have courage to take a chance…
And never find a frog in your underpants”

Lunching Out

I am not the most adventerous person in the world as you know, but sometimes I'm willing to try new things. Went to East Coast Subs today with Stacie and all was going well. We pulled into our parking space and went to pay the meter and noticed we still had 32 minutes left. Cool huh. The poor guy next to us had just gotten a ticket, but I didn't feel too bad, especially since the car was Mercedes. Ha, ha, too bad, jackass. Anyway, I ordered an BLT with Mayo. Now, it wasn't like the BLT automatically comes with mayo as the women who took my order specifically asked me if I would like Mayo on the sandwhich and I said, "Yes, I would like a little bit of Mayo, thank you for asking." She then wrote it on the order form, handed me my cup for my drink and asked me to sign the receipt. So, then can someone tell me who in the world eats MUSTARD on a BLT sandwhich??? Does Mayo translate to Mustard in Spanish? Because when I got my sandwhich it had, not a little mayo, but a TON of mustard! What the H-E double toothpick? It's a good thing this did not happen on a Tuesday. It would have just added to the wretchedness of a Tuesday. Nope, it's Wednesday. I was calm, puzzled, but calm, as I went to the front counter and asked for a side of mayo. Next time I go there I will be sure to either 1. order something else or 2. Say no to Mayo. It's a life lesson, I guess. ;-)

Mostly for Shamo...

I heard an interesting question on the radio today. If it came down to it, who would you vote for President if you had to choose between Obama, Clinton and McCain if you knew for a fact that one of these people is going to have to choose one or more of the next Supreme Court Justices?

Have I ever told you that I hate Tuesdays?

Well, I do. Just in case I haven't mentioned it a hundred times before. The only reason we have Tuesdays is to get us from Mondays to Wednesdays. Sunday has it's purpose, of course, it a day for most of us to go to church. Monday, it's pretty much the beginning of the work week, most people hate it, but the week has to start somewhere. Wednesday, half way there now. Thursday, only one more day to go for the much loved Friday. Friday, everyone looks forward to Friday, it's the final day of the work week. Then of course Saturday, who could hate Saturday. But Tuesday, no one looks forward to Tuesdays. It's a total in-between day. It's just there as a filler. ....Can hardly wait 'till it's over. UGH.

PEEP show

All I can say today is TGIF!!!!

New Book

So, I finished Persauasion a few days ago and it was better than I remembered. I'm going to start reading Pride and Prejudice on Monday with Shamo. But in the meantime, I started a book last night called "Bad Monkey's" It's a bit strange, but so far it's really good. It's not that big so I will probably finish it by tomorrow.

It's been a Jane Austin Weekend

So I watched "The Jane Austin Book Club" (TJABC) this weekend and it was So good. I looked for "Becoming Jane", but they were all gone, so I couldn't watch it. (Shamo, I tried). Anyway, after I watched "TJABC" I decided that I wanted to read Persuasion. But guess what, to my shock I did not have it!!!! :-) So I decided I would have to buy it. I was also missing Sense and Sensibilities. So Friday, I went to Barnes and Noble to get it. I went with my friend Cara and her adorable new baby girl Berklee, who has TONS of hair and is so tiny and has the most perfect little fingers and toes! Anyway, isn't it funny how when you have something in your mind you end up seeing it everywhere? So when we were at Barnes & Noble, I swear they had a ton of display shelves with Jane Austin items and Jane Austin related items everywhere. It was just funny.

I got my books and started reading Persuasion on Saturday. So then, what just happened to be on TV last night but Persuasion! On PBS. It was pretty good. It's a new adaptation that just came out apparently. It's not my favorite, that's for sure! My favorite Persuasion movie is the one with CiaránHinds and Amanda Root. I just love how they played their characters. I don't know why, but for some reason they had poor Anne running around Bath like a complete idiot at the end! What the heck was that? Although the guy who played Captain Wentworth was pretty hot and possible worth running after.

So that was my Jane Austin weekend. Everyday had a Jane Austin moment. If you haven't read any of her books, you should. Seriously! They are the best! Just pick one at random and read!

Shimmy

So Fit TV has this fitness show called Shimmy. It teaches you how to Belly Dance. I'v decided that I'm going to become a Belly Dancer. Seriously, I was doing it last night and it was so fun. I'm sure I looked ridiculous, because I was laughing at myself, but who cares. It was a good time.

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

OH MY HECK!!!!!

Woolsey, I blame you for this! I just found out that they are moving Ruth next to me! OH BROTHER!!!!!! TORTURE!!!!! Also, Roseanna is moving to Staci's old desk next to Cami and HA! HA! they are putting Amber over on the other side of Linda. She's going to be even further away from Roseanna and not next to Cami, like she wanted to be.

New Flash!

Mostly for Shamo and Woolsey,

So, Liz is going to be the new team lead for the new DMT Team! Which brings to mind a lot of questions. Like why would she go over there? It's not that big of a team right now, so does that mean it's going to get bigger? Does it mean that case managers are going to be kicked to the curb? Hmmmm...

A Must Read

Well for some of you book lovers out there, I have a book for you. It's called The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.

Okay, here's the thing. I've had this book on my shelf for probably a year. For those of you who don't know, I have a lot of books. I love reading and I love collecting books almost as much, if not more. I live in a very small place, so I have to limit the amount of books that I buy. Most of the books I read now have been checked out of the Library and only occasionally will I buy one.

I really don't even remember buying this book, but there it was on my shelf. Well to be honest, I've tried to read it before. Twice. I would pick it up, read a few chapters, get distracted and set it back on the shelf. I really wanted to read it, it just never seemed like the right time. Now I know why. It's becuase I needed a day when I had nothing else to do and nowhere to go.

Saturday was such a day. When I got up, it wasn't a bad day outside and I was thinking that I should go to the store and run a few errands, but my heart wasn't in it. I really just did not want to leave the house. I thought, well, if I don't go anywhere, I should go through some bins that I have been wanting to go through and get rid of some stuff. (I've been doing this a lot lately, purging items. Last week I donated six garbage bags full of stuff. Don't ask me what I gave away I could hardly tell you. It's like not only did I purge it out of my house, but out of my mind too.)

Anyway, I got up, got dressed and then I thought of that book. That book that I have had for a year, have wanted to read, started to read, twice. I went and got it. I went and got a drink and sat in my favorite rocking chair and opened the book. I started to read. I skimmed through the first few chapters, they were already familiar to me, having already read them, I started to settle into the flow of the words. At first hearing the words I was reading in my head in my own voice, then gradually the characters were taking over and I started hearing the story in their own voices. Margeret, a bit reserved, quiet, maybe a bit hoarse as you can tell that she doesn't use her own voice that much in her world and Vida's a little raspy, but full and deep, with a lifetime, maybe three lifetimes of experience.

The subject matter is not sweet and lighthearted. The writing is supberb. It's a mystery. It's a tragedy. It's a book about people lives. It's a book about books. It's a book about twins. It's a book about being alone. It's a book about family. It is SO worth reading. Don't give up on it. But give it your time. I did not put this book down until I was done. It stayed with me the rest of the day and the rest of the weeked.

Just a little note about twins. The book has it's own ideas and maybe some twins feel the way the writer describes. Maybe she is a twin and has those feelings or maybe she just thinks that it's how all twins feel. Heather and I are not like this. We are close. We love each other. But we don't have those "psychic" feelings that some twins do. I think that it's because our mother never raised us to be one half of a whole, she always raised us to each be our own whole person. My mom never allowed our teachers to treat us as anything but seperate individuals. We were never in the same classes in school, except one time in High School. We had one class together, but that hardly counts as I always sluffed this class and so it was like Heather took the class by herself anyway. We do some stuff that can be construed as Twin like, but I think it more likely that this is because we like some of the same things, we are conscious of each other in a way that sisters are conscious of each other. Maybe Shamo and Sarah have a different experience? Maybe they can related more closely to the feeling described in this book. In any case, I don't think that you don't have to be a twin to share a connection with another person.

All this, just to tell you that I read a good book this weekend. If you ever get a chance to read the book, let me know what you think.

Happy Reading.

Thank Goodness it's Friday

I can't wait to go home! I'm going to watch Stargate Atlantas (Hello, Mr. Momoa, see "So Hot" pic below) and Monk. How's that for an exciting Friday Night? Woo Hoo.

Update on my Mom...she's doing pretty good, considering. She might be able to get out of the hospital tomorrow. Yeah. Thanks for all of the prayers!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Asking for Prayers

Hi all, well my poor Mom is back in the hospital. She has pneumonia again. Poor thing. She just can't beat it. ...Catches it at the drop of a hat. Please pray for her and also pray for stregth and peace for Heather. She's obviously worried about mom and she's pretty tired out. Heather, love you..don't worry, try to get some rest. Everything will work out the way the way it's supposed to work out.

Also, thank you to Reese for letting me cry on your shoulder today. Love you.

Having a bad day - need to Rant!

I hate this place! I'm so sick of emails, APS's pull & attach, delivery and Kill-Bill! Seriously, I need a vacation! I'm sick of the inversion! I'm sick of the snow! I'm sick of the cold! I'm sick of "Hey Co-worker" being said by a certain person every dang time he comes over to my desk! I'm sick of people asking me if I miss Woolsey. Hell, she's only been gone for a day and a half. (Woolsey, I do miss you, but I'm sick of being asked if I miss you.) And to top it all off, Howcroft is heading to the Carribean tomorrow! She gets to escape from this hell hole for a while. UGH!

Friday, February 15, 2008

It's Friday!

Well it is finally Friday! The end of a really crappy week. AND we have Monday off for the holiday! Yeah. I'm So glad! The drive in was great. Hardly any traffic and I was actually on time. I even stopped for a vanilla frappacino! Yum!

On a sad note, today is Marisa's last day. BooHoo. Who the heck am I going to complain to about the rest of our team now? "R" is already driving me crazy!

So, I'm supposed to watch Teegan tomorrow. I am so NOT looking forward to it. I love him, but I hate babysitting. I've never liked it, ever! Ask Heather, she'll tell you. April is SO going to owe me for this! Big time!

Alright, well I better get some work done this morning. Is it time to go home yet?

Thursday, February 14, 2008

Happy Freaking Valentines Day

I am SO sick of the snow. It took forever to get home last night and into work this morning. It was up to my knees in my driveway! It took 20 minutes just to brush my car off this morning, then I almost couldn't get out of the driveway. I had to go forward, then reverse a few times. This had to be the worse storm we've had this winter and believe me, we've had some bad ones.
Today is Valentine's day and most of the girls on my team have passed out valentine's cards. I totally didn't even think about that for today. oh well. I'm heading to Costco in a little while, we're having a potluck, so I need to pick something up. I was thinking about getting cupcakes, but we'll see what they have. Let's hope this day goes quickly! I already wish it was over.

Snow, Again!

So it was almost 50 degrees yesterday morning and then WHAM! snowstorm!

Wishing for Spring

I'm as restless as a willow in a windstorm,
I'm as jumpy as a puppet on a string,
I'd say that I had spring fever but I know it isn't spring.
I am starry-eyed and vaguely discontented
like a nightingale without a song to sing.
O why should I have spring fever
When it isn't even spring?

These are the lyrics to a song I'm listening to being sung by Jubilant Sykes right now and it's exactly how I feel today.

Looking forward to tonight.

Going to dinner tonight with the girls. I'm looking forward to us all getting together again. It should be a pretty good time. It's the last hoorah for Woolsey, she's on a downhill slide now. Only a few more days here and then she hits the Oregon Trail. We will all miss her for sure, but we can stay in touch and keep up with each other by blogging! Yeah.

I can only say that my team is going to have to find another diversion to the monotony of their day with Woolsey gone as there will be no more verbal outcasts from the two of us when she is gone. It's not like I can spare with Ruth. Ha! Can you picture that? She's talked you to death. As Reese once said, you ask her the time and she has to tell you how to build the clock! Lord, give me strength!

Definition of an Imp for a couple of you who have mentioned it.

Yes, it's a real word. No, I didn't make a typo, and forget the "P".

An imp is a mythological being similar to a fairy or demon, frequently described in folklore and superstition. Imps are usually described as mischievous more than seriously threatening.

In the case of my nephew I use the word "Imp" in the most loving way.

It's Love

My great nephew Teegan is a little imp. Dropped by yesterday and hung out with him and Avi for a little while. He is definately a hand full, just like his mom was when she was a little girl. Teeg is getting so big and growing up so fast. It's amazing to me that he is already 19 months old. Yesterday when I was getting ready to leave, he kept wanting to hug me and didn't want me to leave, then when I went out to my car, he was in the window waiving his little hand like crazy. It was so cute! I just love him.

Bickering

Can I just tell you that I really enjoy bickering with people. That's one thing that I'm going to miss Woolsey for, for sure! I can always count on her for a caustic comment. It's fun and it really gets the other girls around us wondering if it's for real or not. Sometimes I think they really think that we are fighting. Especially Ruth and Linda. They always makes comments about it. LOL! Woolsey might not admit this, but she and I are both good bullshitters. We both say things to get a rise out of people. Don't act the innocent, Ris, you know this is true! That's why I love ya!

Jokes

A Ham and Cheese sandwich walk into a bar, hop up onto the bar stool and order a whiskey & soda, the bartender looks at them and says, "I'm sorry, we don't serve food here."

******

A magician is up on stage and tells his audience that he needs a volunteer to come up and help him for his next trip. So this big guys comes up on stage and the magician hands him a sledgehammer and tells the guy to hit him in the head with it. At first the guy hesitates, but the magician keeps insisting, so the guy finally shrugs his shoulders, says okay and takes a swing at the magician's head, hits him pretty hard and down goes the magician. He ends up in the hospital, in a coma. 10 years go by and one day the magician finally wakes up, looks at the nurse
and says "TaDa!"

A Raise

So I got a raise today. It averages out to be a whole 3 cents. Yippee Skippee! I'm rolling in the dough now, huh.

My boss also told me that I was "a joy to work with".

Two Weeks Notice

Well, Woolsey gave her two week notice. I admit that I will miss her. A little. I'm sure she'll keep me posted on her life during her bathroom breaks. (Woolsey, Please NO MORE detailed descriptions). So, after Ruth found out she said to me "Well, I guess it will just be the two of us, now, huh" Oh joy! (rolling my eyes here) I can't wait! It will be SO much fun. (shoot me now).

So Roseanna sent out an email telling the whole team about Woolsey leaving, to which Liisa replied "So what are we going to do with Heidi -Marisa keeps her in line- we better cage her desk……." HILARIOUS, isn't she... I just want everyone to know that Marisa was the catalyst for any and all questionable behavior on my part. All of you Hooker's know the truth about Woolsey. I'm sure you've all been on the receiving end at one time or another.
Extremely TALL people freak me out.

Where has the time gone?

So, this weekend I happened to catch Young Einstein on TV. I hadn't planned on watching this show really, I was just just turning the TV on for some background noise while I did a few things around the house, BUT I just could not help myself. It was a favorite movie of mine when I was a teenager. It brought back a lot of memories of my old friends. Luci and Cari in particular. It's so funny how time works. It really doesn't seem like it's been almost 18 years since we graduated from high school! Where has the time gone? I still feel like I did when I was 17 years old in some ways. Although I can tell that I'm aging. It creeps up on you though, you know. It's little things too, stuff like not rembering a persons name or you hear the a song you used to sing all of the time and you can't rember the name of the band. (Guns and Roses! ya, that's it!). Or a gray hair and inch long shining like a beacon in the bathroom mirror! (don't look for it, it's been plucked!) So as I was watching Young Einstein, I was thinking, "hmmm, I wonder what Yahoo is up to now?" I came into work this morning and the first thing I did was google him. You know what I found out? Time does not stand still. Check out the pictures, it shows the difference 20 years can make.

Here's a new picture of my hair today. It's pretty straight because it was soaking wet this morning by the time I got all of the darn snow off of my car.

SNOW!

I am so sick of the snow! I read a news report that the amount of snow that we have been getting is actually pretty normal and that the snow in the past few years (or lack of snow) has led us to believe that we are getting more than we usually get this year, but in fact this year is where it's really supposed to be. Well, I just have to say, that I DON'T CARE! I still hate it. I brushed five inches of snow off of my car this morning starting at the back and by the time I was done with the front, I had to go back and brush the back off again. What happened to Global Warming??? All I can say is that I hope the Groundhog predicts an early spring tomorrow.
